MANASSAS, Va., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ATCC, a global leader in biological materials management and standards, today announced two appointments to the senior leadership team. Mr. Daniel Kelly joins ATCC as Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO), and Mr. John Sweeney joins as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
As CITO, Mr. Kelly will develop and drive information and technology strategies that sustain ATCC's current mission as well as extend our reach into new technology-based business opportunities. Mr. Kelly brings more than 30 years of progressive experience in management consulting, IT professional services, IT management, and operations management. Prior to joining ATCC, Mr. Kelly was Chief Information Officer at Parsons Infrastructure, and held executive leadership roles at organizations such as MedRisk, Apria Healthcare, and Perot Systems. Mr. Kelly is a graduate of Siena College in Loudonville, New York, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Marketing Management.
As CFO, Mr. Sweeney will oversee finance and accounting and other corporate matters and will work with the ATCC executive leadership team to explore a wide range of new initiatives that both advance our mission and aid in the diversification of opportunities.
Mr. Sweeney has over twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. Prior to joining ATCC, Mr. Sweeney was Vice President of Finance for the US Division of Alvogen Group, and held leadership roles in organizations including Actavis and Purdue Pharma. Mr. Sweeney is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at Western Connecticut State University and his MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
