Aston Launches ASTON/TAMRO International Small Cap Fund
Managed by Current Aston Subadviser TAMRO Capital Partners LLC
CHICAGO, Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aston Asset Management, LLC (Aston) announced that it has launched the ASTON/TAMRO International Small Cap Fund (AROWX: Class N/ATRWX: Class I). Aston will act as the investment adviser to the Fund, while TAMRO Capital Partners LLC (TAMRO) will act as subadviser, responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fund. The Fund opened to investors on December 23, 2014.
"We are very pleased to have opened this new international small cap fund with TAMRO," said Stuart D. Bilton, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aston. "The Fund extends TAMRO's expertise in evaluating domestic equities to a diversified range of small-cap companies based outside of the U.S. We are confident that the new fund will be a strong addition to the Aston Funds family."
Fund Details:
- Waldemar A. Mozes, Partner and Portfolio Manager at TAMRO, will manage the Fund. With over 14 years of experience in global investing, Mr. Mozes joined TAMRO in 2008. He has led the development of TAMRO's international small cap strategy since inception.
- The Fund will consist of high conviction ideas that seek to generate capital appreciation in developed markets outside the U.S., as well as in established companies in emerging markets.
- The Fund's investment focus is on companies that possess a sustainable competitive advantage combined with an attractive valuation. The source of a company's competitive advantage, according to TAMRO philosophy, is some combination of a management team with effective capital allocation skills, a unique or differentiated product or service, and a balance sheet capable of supporting free cash flow generation over time.
- Stock selection will be driven by TAMRO's time-tested, bottom-up investment process. As such, the portfolio will be broadly diversified across industries, countries and currencies.
"Our international strategy applies the same disciplined process as our domestic strategies, which stems from many years of investment management experience and the analysis of the common characteristics of successful as well as unsuccessful investments," said Mr. Mozes. "We are excited to bring our international small cap strategy to Aston's investors through the ASTON/TAMRO International Small Cap Fund."
TAMRO, based in Alexandria, VA, specializes in the management of core equity strategies. The firm is also subadviser to the ASTON/TAMRO Diversified Equity Fund (ATLVX/ATDEX) and the ASTON/TAMRO Small Cap Fund (ATASX/ATSIX).

Important considerations:
The Fund is newly formed and does not have an operating history. You could lose money by investing in the Fund. Investing in foreign and emerging market securities involve risks related to adverse political and economic developments unique to a country or a region, currency fluctuations or controls. Investments in small to mid-capitalization companies may be subject to increased volatility and less liquidity. The Fund engages in both growth and value style investing. Growth stocks are generally more sensitive to investor perceptions and market moves and thus may be more volatile than other stocks while value investing involves buying stocks that are out of favor or may not appreciate as anticipated.
Before investing carefully consider the fund's investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses. Contact 800-992-8151 or visit the Aston Funds website at www.astonfunds.com for a prospectus or a summary prospectus containing this and other information. Please read it carefully.
