Finalists Tapped for "Environmental Protection & Preservation," "Family Friendly Programs & Initiatives" and "Disaster Preparedness"

Villages of Renaissance (VOR) Master Association – "Environmental Protection & Preservation"
VOR was a finalist in three categories in 2009 and was highlighted in the March 2010 issue of Florida Community Association Journal
- Received the "Naturescape" certification from Broward County for using Florida native plants and trees and for using reused water for the irrigation of its 147 acres
- Certified by the National Wildlife Federation as being a "Wildlife Habitat"
- Supports the "Adopt-A-Street" and the "Great American Waterways" cleanup programs by cleaning a street outside of their community and gathering trash from the lake banks of its 10 lakes
- Utilizes Integrated Pest Management in lieu of blanket spraying and natural predators for pest control when possible
Doral Isles Master Association – "Family Friendly Programs & Initiatives"
With 1721 homes, this community works diligently to plan regular, family-friendly events to enjoy together. Events include: volleyball and basketball tournaments, bicycling, movie night, Fourth of July, swimming, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Mother's Day parties.
