Association for the Advancement of Wound Care Announces New Partnership with Native Nation Events, LLC
MALVERN, Pa., Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) has entered into an agreement with Native Nation Events, LLC. This agreement offers AAWC members a 20% discount to the Native American Wound Care Conference – Implementing a Wound Care Program, October 8-9, 2012, at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, California.
The partnership between AAWC and Native Nation Events, LLC is exciting because it will allow AAWC to establish relationships between Tribal Representatives and health care professionals. Developing these relationships will help AAWC to educate the Native Nations on the most current, advanced, evidence-based wound care practices. AAWC looks forward to having a presence at the Native American Wound Care Conference with an exhibitor booth and to providing opportunities for members of the AAWC Speakers Bureau to speak at future Native American conferences.
In Native America, there is a great deal of healthcare disparity, revealing itself in higher rates of wound-related complications, amputations and diabetes. A grave statistic is that 60% of Native Americans die within two years after an amputation caused by inadequately treated wounds. AAWC is proud of this partnership to offer AAWC members a discount to attend the Native American Wound Care Conference as this meeting will address these important issues.
Native Nation Events, LLC provides unique and educational networking forums specifically for the Native American community where information is provided on current topics that Tribal decision makers and professionals find invaluable. AAWC understands the value of these conferences particularly in regards to the Native American Wound Care Conference.
