Association for the Advancement of Wound Care Acknowledges 2013 Corporate Sponsors and Announces Open Enrollment for the 2014 Sponsorship Program
MALVERN, Pa., Sept. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) recognizes the generous support of its 2013 corporate sponsors and announces open enrollment for the 2014 sponsorship program. Corporate support is paramount to sustaining the association's programs and activities. This year's AAWC Corporate Sponsors include: 3M Skin and Wound Care, KCI Medical, Smith & Nephew, Shire, Healthpoint Biotherapeutics, and Molnlycke Health Care US LLC.
Representatives from the sponsoring corporations and the AAWC Board of Directors constitute the AAWC Corporate Advisory Panel (CAP). The CAP allows close interaction with AAWC officers as well as other key wound care industry leaders who meet to collaborate on mutual concerns and issues including education, public awareness and government/regulatory affairs. As stakeholders with the common purpose of helping patients, the panel also focuses on elevating standards of wound care practice in developing areas worldwide.
Participating AAWC Board members include: Robert J. Snyder, DPM, CWS, – President; Terry Treadwell, MD, FACS – Past President; Vickie Driver, MS, DPM, FACFAS – President-Elect; Teresa Conner-Kerr, PhD, PT, CWS, CLT – Treasurer; Barbara Bates-Jensen, PhD, RN, CWOCN – Secretary; Linda Pruitt, MS, RN – Industry Board Member; and Peggy Dotson, RN, BSA – Regulatory Committee Chair. The panel meets quarterly by phone and in-person at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) spring and fall conferences.
