Associated Estates to Present at NAREIT's REITWeek 2011 and Ring the NYSE Closing Bell

CLEVELAND, May 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Associated Estates Realty Corporation (NYSE, NASDAQ: AEC) today announced that the Company will participate in REITWeek 2011, NAREIT's Investor Forum, being held from Tuesday, June 7 through Thursday, June 9 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.

President and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey I. Friedman will deliver the Company's presentation on Wednesday, June 8 from 8:45 AM to 9:15 AM EDT.  The presentation will be facilitated by Andrew McCulloch, Senior Analyst of Green Street Advisors, Inc.  Members of the Company's management team will be hosting scheduled meetings with investors throughout the conference.  A copy of all presentation materials will be accessible, beginning June 7, on the Company's website at http://ir.associatedestates.com/presentations.cfm.
