ASPIRA and the Verizon Foundation to Announce National Educational Program on April 22 to Assist Latino Charter Schools
PHILADELPHIA, April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The ASPIRA Association will announce a significant grant from the Verizon Foundation on Thursday (April 22) at the ASPIRA Antonia Pantoja Charter School, 4101 North American St. The grant will fund the creation of an innovative national model charter school program to improve access to educational resources and teacher training opportunities for charter schools serving Latino students. In addition, a teacher and students from the school will demonstrate some of the new Earth Day resources available through Verizon Thinkfinity (www.thinkfinity.org).
