ASPIRA and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation to Announce National Communications Initiative to Promote Financial Investment Among Hispanics
WASHINGTON, May 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The ASPIRA Association will announce a comprehensive national media and communications campaign sponsored by the FINRA Investor Education Foundation at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the National Press Club located at 529 14th Street NW, Washington, DC. The communications campaign will integrate messages about the importance of investing designed for members of the Latino community between the ages of 25-60 years. The message will be conveyed via national Hispanic television networks, radio networks, Hispanic publications and the Internet and will point to the bilingual investment curriculum developed by ASPIRA with the FINRA Foundation's support available online at aspira.org and through community-based organizations and public libraries throughout the nation.

BACKGROUND: Since 2007 ASPIRA and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation have worked together to develop and promote financial educational opportunities for Latinos. With support from the Foundation, the ASPIRA Association developed a bilingual investments curriculum that is being widely distributed to community-based organizations, faith-based organizations and public libraries serving Latino communities in the continental USA and Puerto Rico.
