ASPAN's Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing Accepted by Thompson Reuters

CHERRY HILL, N.J., Aug. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses announced today that its Journal of PeriAnesthesia Nursing (JoPAN) has been accepted for coverage in Thompson Reuters' abstracting and indexing services, including the Journal Citation Reports (JCR). JCR follows the world's most influential journals in the sciences and social sciences and establishes each publication's impact factor, which measures the number of times an article is cited in scholarly publications and is often correlated with its influence.

"The fact that JoPAN will be assigned an impact factor makes it one of a select group of specialty nursing journals to achieve that status," says JoPAN Co-Editor, Dr. Jan Odom-Forren.
