WASHINGTON, Sept. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) invites working journalists to apply for an ASLA press pass to cover its 2016 Annual Meeting and EXPO, October 21-24, 2016 in New Orleans, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The theme of the 2016 conference is "A Celebration of Place."

Founded in 1899, ASLA is the national professional association for landscape architects, representing more than 15,000 members in 49 professional chapters and 72 student chapters. The 2016 Annual Meeting and EXPO—the largest gathering of landscape architecture professionals and students in the world—is expected to attract more than 6,000 attendees, including world-renowned landscape architects who have created the iconic parks, gardens and other green spaces that help give communities an identity.
