Wealth-X Releases List Of Global Top 20 Emerging Mega Donors

Insights that have emerged from this study include:
- 20% of this list of emerging mega donors are American. In contrast, seven of the top 20 next mega donors come from India and China, these donors contributed a total of US$250 million over the last three years.
- These emerging mega donors are focused on causes related to higher education, followed by health and social programs. Causes that support the humanities are third most popular.
- 45% of the top 20 next mega donors are from Asia. Mega donors give on average 9.9% of their income to philanthropic causes compared to 4.7% given by the average American.
