Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum to Introduce Total Solutions for Extreme Weather on July 26-28

To promote Agriculture 4.0 policy and Taiwan's intelligent agriculture products and services, UBM Asia Taiwan Branch and Council of Agriculture (COA) collectively launch 2018 Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum at Taipei World Trade Center on July 26-28. With the theme "Innovative, Eco-friendly, Sustainable," the trade show positions itself as a one-stop B2B international trading platform and aims to showcase Taiwan's competitiveness in the smart agriculture industry. UBM expects this exhibition to help farmers improve software and hardware and to provide a better solution for extreme weather, industry upgrade, food crisis, and agrarian sustainability.

The great crop losses caused by extremely cold weather in 2016 and 2017 drew wide attention in the world. To stabilize farming environment and decrease the impact of severe weather, vendors have been focusing on the development of environmental control systems, water-saving irrigation equipment, agricultural monitoring facilities and pest identification tools for greenhouses and plant factories. The greenhouse constructor, Hua Wang Ltd., endeavours to change weather conditions in small spaces. It produces advanced greenhouses with steel structure, equipped with an indoor environmental control and automatic irrigation system, a recovery system for waste heat, heaters that save 15% of energy, automatic shading nets and fans ventilation systems to help farmers increase productivity and achieve steady income.

In addition, the use of agricultural nutrients and organic fertilizers has become one of the strategies to mitigate the impact of extreme weather. Soil Conditioner of BIO, a new microbiological fertilizer introduced by Wellness Top Biotech, provides biological microorganisms a better reproducing circumstance to make soils more protective and crops more drought- and disease-resistant.

The 2^nd edition of Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum is held concurrently with Livestock & Aquaculture Taiwan Expo & Forum at Taipei World Trade Center, Taiwan on July 26-28. The grand 3-day exhibition contains a series of conferences and business match-making programmes.  At present, the UBM Asia Taiwan Branch has received enquiries about indoor farming systems from Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. UBM is now calling for manufacturers from around the world, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and USA to participate in this one-and-only comprehensive B2B exhibition.
