Ashworth College Online Offers Free Expert Income Tax Help
Distance Education leader extends open invitation to participate in online tax discussions
NORCROSS, Ga., March 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As the April 18 tax deadline draws near, Ashworth College, a leading online college, announced that it is making its Tax Preparation Course instructor Lee Woodward available to help people with tax questions in the school's online community, both as part of an online discussion and in a live video chat on March 28.
Over the coming weeks, students, alumni and the public will be able to take advantage of Woodward's 30 plus years' experience as a tax and finance professional as they begin to prepare to file their 2010 returns. Throughout his career, Woodward has served as a corporate financial analyst, a chief financial officer and a college instructor of basic and advanced tax accounting methods.
In addition to valuable information on tax deductions and credits, dependents, exemptions, and tax forms, Woodward will be posting tips, insights on tax code changes and answering questions -- participants will be able to post their own questions, which he will respond to on a regular basis. All responses will be public for the benefit of others facing similar challenges. To easily access the online discussion, simply go to the tax preparation group in the Ashworth Community.
"We're excited to be able to make this opportunity available to the public and hope that it proves to be beneficial not only to Ashworth students and alumni but the general public as well," said Dr. Leslie Gargiulo, Vice President of Education for James Madison High School and Ashworth College. "We appreciate that Lee is graciously donating his time to this valuable project."
For participants wanting to take their tax preparation skills to the next level, Ashworth will also be offering a special tax time savings of $200 off its Tax Preparation Course through April 18. The discount can be redeemed by calling (800) 957-5307 and giving the promo code: COMMUNITY.
Free To the Public Live Video Chat – "Tax Deductions that Can Help You Save Money"
On March 28, Woodward will lead a live video chat within the Ashworth Community entitled "Tax Deductions that Can Help You Save Money." The session will begin at 4 p.m. EDT and participants will be able to post questions for him to answer throughout the program.
Anyone that has access to a computer can participate. For those unable to attend the live event, the chat will be archived for later viewing.
