Ashley Furniture HomeStore Teams Up with United Way to Provide Kids with Cozy New Beds

MADISON, Wis., July 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashley Furniture HomeStore's (http://www.ashleyfurniturehomestore.com)  A Hope to Dream program partners with the United Way of Dane County to provide 17 new Ashley-Sleep™ mattress sets to families in need.

As part of the local United Way's Housing First Challenge, which helps homeless families find stable, permanent housing, an Ashley truck packed with brand new mattresses made its way to a Madison, Wisconsin apartment complex on July 14^th, where a team of United Way and Ashley volunteers unloaded and delivered the new beds to awaiting families.

"Some of these families were actually forced to sleep on winter coats on the floor. It was just heartbreaking," says John Disa, President of Ashley HomeStores, Ltd.
