SALT LAKE CITY, April 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Society of Health Informatics Managers (ASHIM) (www.ashim.org) announced Mini-Med Health Plans for members and their families. This offering aids those ASHIM members struggling with current health care costs.
Members choosing to participate in the "Mini-Med Health Plan" have the option of customizing their coverage. Some of the benefits include:
- Limited Medical Plans
- Emergency Room Coverage
- Accident Coverage
- Dental Coverage
- Prescription Drug Coverage
"These plans don't replace major medical coverage," says ASHIM senior vice president, Stephanie Cecchini. "Instead, they provide an affordable alternative for members who struggle with current health care coverage. These plans can provide defined coverage against illness, emergencies and accidents."
ASHIM members can use this option to offset current, high major medical deductibles or supplement their current insurance coverage. The plans are not yet available in all states and are not guaranteed with absolute coverage in case of catastrophic health problems. For more details please visit www.ashim.org/benefits.aspx
