Ascendiant Client, ImportLA, Acquired by Bunker Hill Capital

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ascendiant Capital Markets, LLC (www.ascendiant.com) announced today the majority sale of its client, ImportLA, Inc. of Baldwin Park, California, to Bunker Hill Capital (BHC), headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.  ImportLA is a leading designer, manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of furniture, equipment, and supplies serving the tattoo, pet grooming, and spa/salon markets.  BHC is a private equity firm that makes control investments in lower middle market companies with typical enterprise values ranging between $30 million and $120 million. The principals of BHC have invested over $570 million in 36 transactions and target opportunities across four industry sectors including industrial products, business services, consumer products, and specialty retail.

Ascendiant Managing Directors, Avi Suriel and Chris Gayde, led the transaction on behalf of Ascendiant and its client, ImportLA.  Mr. Suriel and Dr. Gayde have a combined thirty years of experience in corporate finance and M&A, including Mr. Suriel's tenure with leading Wall Street firms while in New York.
