Notably, a survey conducted by the National Association of Homebuilders found that, among nine key trades, 46 percent had workforce shortages in 2014 to an extent that hasn't been seen since 2000. Many of the industry experts surveyed conjectured that recovery in the housing market could be significantly stronger if there were more construction and contracting professionals available to work on new housing starts.
