NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Artivest, a tech-driven investment platform that expands access to leading alternative investments, announced today the appointment of Jon Feigelson as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Mr. Feigelson joins from TIAA, where he most recently served as Senior Managing Director, General Counsel, Head of Regulatory Affairs, and Director of Corporate Governance. At Artivest, Mr. Feigelson will be responsible for providing strategic, regulatory, and transactional legal counsel across the firm's alternative investment offerings.
Mr. Feigelson brings over 20 years of legal, compliance, and governance experience in the financial services industry to Artivest. Previously, Mr. Feigelson was the Vice President and Global Director of Equity Derivatives Compliance at Goldman Sachs.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jon to the Artivest team. Jon's addition to our team continues our emphasis on embedding robust compliance processes into our products and business," said James Waldinger, Founder and CEO of Artivest. "This appointment will be a meaningful addition to our team as we continue our leadership in expanding access to alternatives."
"Artivest is at the forefront of leveraging technology to transform alternative investment distribution models," said Jon Feigelson. "I look forward to supporting our clients and partners as we continue to expand access to top-quality alternative investments."
Jon's appointment follows a series of recent growth initiatives and strategic hires across the firm. Last month, Artivest launched an alternative investments platform with Nuveen Investments, which provides increased access to alternative investments to qualified high-net-worth investors.
