Artisanal "Cult Wines" Debut At 15th Annual Pittsburgh Wine Festival

The Pittsburgh Wine Festival returns to Heinz Field on Thursday, May 4, for its 15^th year. This year's event brings over 530 varieties of wine from more than 28 countries, representing some of the best wines in the world. In addition to many well-known labels, Pollack is excited for select small-production, artisanal wineries to be included this year at the Chairman's Selection Premier Tasting Seminar Series.

"Jessica Boone is a rockstar in California and we can't wait for her to come to the event," he says.  Boone is head winemaker at Passalacqua Winery in Northern California and represents a diverse array of women winemakers at the event. Also joining the seminar is third generation winemaker Harrison Heitz of Heitz Wine Cellars.

"Heitz is a storied winery and it's an honor to include them at the tasting this year," Pollack says.  "We are fortunate to be able to truly show the depth of the Chairman's program with these cult wines."

The 2017 Festival will be held at Heinz Field in the East and West Club Lounges. The VIP Tasting runs from 5 pm to 7 pm, with tickets priced at $250, and the Grand Tasting runs from 7 pm to 9 pm, with tickets priced at $125. Chairman's Selection Premier Tasting Seminar tickets are $40 each. Tickets can be purchased online at PittsburghWineFestival.com.
