Article One Partners Opens New Boston Office
World's Leading Patent Validation Firm Expands Local Presence in Boston
BOSTON and NEW YORK, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Article One Partners, the world's largest patent validation firm, today announced the opening of a new Boston-area office, located just north of the city in Woburn, Massachusetts. The office will be led by Paul DiGiammarino, who was appointed as president of Article One Partners in December, 2009. The new facility will support Article One's growing international business, and improve service to Boston-area clients and Community members.
"Boston presented an ideal location for Article One to expand due to the high concentration of technology, medical device, legal and pharmaceutical companies -- sectors that are heavily reliant upon the strength of their intellectual property portfolios which have embraced Article One," said Paul DiGiammarino, president of Article One Partners. "We have a strong concentration of existing clients in the region, and we also benefit from the Advisor talent pool coming from the top universities and industry of the Northeast. We have built out our management team and employee base in anticipation of this move, and have eight employees and contractors already working out of the new office space while hiring continues."
The young company has revolutionized traditional patent research, and the Boston economy will benefit from attracting the 2009 Startup of the Year award winner to open a local office. Rapid growth in Article One Partners' client pipeline will support continued growth and hiring in both Article One's Boston office, as well as its established New York City office.
"We planned to add a physical office in Boston before Paul came on board as President, but his impact upon the company over these past several months accelerated our plans," said Article One Chief Executive Cheryl Milone. "Paul's experience leading and growing Boston-based businesses, and the powerful relationships he built as CEO and President of local companies like Anaqua, Steelpoint (now owned by Autonomy) and Sapient, all lend to the wisdom of expanding our physical presence in the Boston market to support our clients, our Community and our sales efforts."
In addition to direct employment, Article One is actively recruiting new Advisors. Technologists, scientists and knowledge experts form the core of Article One, an incentive-based online community both sharing inherent knowledge and researching patent claims in a global search effort to uncover evidence of patent validity.
