Arthur Murray's "Teach-a-Thon" is being held on Friday, January 18th from noon-midnight at their Boston studio. During this fundraiser, Arthur Murray will offer 45-minute private ballroom dance lessons to all interested individuals and couples (with or without previous experience). On Friday, February 1st, Dancing with the Stars' Anna Trebunskaya and Jonathan Roberts will teach alongside Arthur Murray's staff in Natick and Boston to benefit the Dance for a Cure campaign.
On February 2, Anna and Jonathan will also judge a Team Match, a charitable dance competition scheduled between noon and 5pm, when all eight Arthur Murray Dance Studios of New England will participate. "We are dedicating our 2013 Teach-a-Thon and Team Match to AdMeTech's research and education programs leading the way in the advancement of early detection of prostate cancer," said Mark Lightner, New England and New York Area Chair of Arthur Murray. "Women have life-saving mammograms. Men deserve Manograms®."
Following the Team Match on February 2, AdMeTech and Arthur Murray will host the Dance for a Cure Gala which features a performance by Anna and Jonathan and a dance workshop and music set by fellow Dancing with the Stars celebrity Mark Ballas. In addition, Nick Kosovich, the show's choreographer, former cast member and Arthur Murray coach will serve as the night's co-MC alongside ABC/WCVB anchor Susan Wornick. This black-tie gala will include a VIP reception, dinner, performances and social dancing.
"We applaud our Arthur Murray partners and Dancing with the Stars celebrities for mobilizing the New England dancing community in the fight against prostate cancer," said Dr. Faina Shtern, President of AdMeTech Foundation.
