BOSTON, Jan. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by AdMeTech Foundation:
WHAT: Arthur Murray Boston presents Teach-A-Thon on January 14, 2011, when every private dance lesson from noon to midnight will benefit AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for the Cure – a national campaign to end prostate cancer crisis. Arthur Murray leaders and teachers offer private dance lesson to support AdMeTech Foundation's mission to improve early detection and treatment, which is critical for cure of prostate cancer and saving lives.
Prostate cancer has become the most common major cancer in the United States, striking 1 in 6 men and becoming even more common than breast cancer (striking 1 in 8 women). In spite of the magnitude of the prostate cancer epidemic, men do not have accurate, life-saving tools akin to mammograms, and the impact is staggering: an American man dies every 19 minutes. Arthur Murray Boston partnered with AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for the Cure and created a regional model for a national movement to increase public awareness of prostate cancer as a major public health problem and development of accurate diagnostic tools as a solution.
