WARREN, Mich., Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Van Furniture has set its sights on The Village of Algonquin for its tenth Chicagoland location. The Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer plans to renovate the 48,000 square foot Gordmans, located at 1500 S. Randall Road, when the department store closes its doors in the fall of 2015.

The renovation of the new Art Van Furniture store in Algonquin is expected to take approximately six months, with a projected grand opening in May 2016. The company will create 40 new full time and part time jobs.
Art Van Furniture's eight Chicagoland locations include Batavia, Bedford Park, Chicago (Logan Square), Downers Grove, Naperville, Orland Park and Woodridge (Bolingbrook) in Illinois and Merrillville, Indiana.
