WARREN, Mich., Feb. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Van Furniture is expanding its Chicagoland footprint with its eleventh location in Glendale Heights, Illinois. The Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer is completing renovations at its newest store, located at 125 E. Army Trail Road in the previously vacant Sports Authority. The occasion will be marked with an open house starting at 5:30 p.m. and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2.

Over 50 full and part-time jobs are being created at the new 42,459 square footage store that will include the retailer's popular Art Van PureSleep and Urban departments. The front elevation of the store has been completely transformed and the interior gutted and redesigned.
The public is invited to attend the March 2 open house and ribbon cutting ceremony, hosted by Eric and Kathy of 101.9 The Mix. Art Van Furniture CEO Kim Yost, Chamber of Commerce President Keith Knautz, and other local dignitaries will be on hand. The festivities will continue on Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 when families are invited to shop while enjoying complimentary refreshments, clowns and live entertainment.
