Art Van Furniture Reopens Its Doors In Fort Wayne
Fire causes store to close for weekend
WARREN, Mich., Feb. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a small fire at its Fort Wayne location, Art Van Furniture announced today the store is once again open. The store located on 311 Coliseum Blvd. was closed on Saturday and Sunday due to smoke and water damage caused by a fire Friday evening.
"We are thankful no one was injured in this incident," said Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture. "We also want to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Fort Wayne Fire Department for quickly containing the fire."
The Fort Wayne Fire Marshal is still determining the cause of the fire, which was contained to the front of the store. The 46,000 square foot furniture store reopened to the public on President's Day, Monday February 17, 2014. Repairs are expected to be completed within a few weeks.
