Art Van Furniture Opens New 48,000-Square-Foot Showroom In Algonquin, Illinois With Ribbon Cutting Party And Fanfare

WARREN, Mich., March 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Already established as an integral part of the Chicagoland community, Art Van Furniture is expanding its presence by opening the doors of its 10th Illinois location at 1500 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, Ill. As the number one furniture and mattress retailer in the Midwest, Art Van Furniture will celebrate with an open house and ribbon cutting party beginning at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 9. The family-friendly event will feature remarks by Art Van Furniture Founder Art Van Elslander and CEO Kim Yost.

Art Van Furniture hired 45 local job seekers in a variety of full and part-time sales associate positions and hourly positions. The new 48,000-square-foot Algonquin store is located in the former Gordmans Discount store on the west side of the street in the Algonquin Commons shopping center.

Currently Art Van Furniture has 9 other locations in Chicagoland, including Batavia, Burbank, Logan Square, Downers Grove, Glendale Heights, Naperville, Orland Park, Woodridge, Merrillville, Portage with another store slated to open in Schaumburg this September.
