Art Van Furniture Opens Its Doors at Its First Chicagoland Location

WARREN, Mich., July 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Van Furniture, the Midwest's number one furniture and mattress retailer, is making the Windy City its second home with the grand opening of its first Chicagoland retail store in Orland Park, IL. This marks the first out-of-state expansion for the 53 year old retailer. The new Art Van Furniture location features 47,000 square feet of furniture, mattresses and a clearance center. A family- oriented and community focused company, Art Van Furniture will celebrate by hosting a family friendly event.  

As part of Art Van's grand opening festivities, the furniture retailer is inviting the Orland Park community to a fun family day event on Saturday, July 20 at its new location at 15080 South LaGrange Road. The grand opening celebration features face painting, clowns and balloon artists. Hours of the celebration are 9am to 5pm. Area residents will also be eligible for the chance to win a $5,000 shopping spree, as well as a trip to Disney World.

The addition of Art Van to the Orland Park community will bring approximately 100 sales, delivery and management jobs to the area.

Art Van Furniture will open five more retail stores in the coming months including Ford City-Chicago, Ill; Batavia, Ill; Bolingbrook, Ill; Elston Avenue-Chicago, Ill; Merrillville-Hobart, Indiana bringing 600 new jobs to Illinois.
