Art Van Furniture Forges New Territory In Michigan's U.P.

WARREN, Mich., June 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Art Van Furniture will charter new territory when it opens its first franchise store in the heart of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  The Midwest's number one furniture retailer announced today it has signed an agreement with Steven Anderson and Jeff Palomaki, second-generation furniture retailers and co-owners of Marquette's #1 appliance store, Household Appliance. The family owned retailers will join forces with the Art Van Furniture family in a brand new franchise venture — Art Van Furniture & Household Appliance. The new store will feature 50,000 square feet of furniture, appliances, electronics and flooring and create 15 new jobs.

The new Art Van Furniture & Household Appliances franchise store is set to open November 2013 and will be located at U.S. Highway 41 West in Marquette, the former site of American TV and Appliance. Until then, Household Appliance will be open for normal business operations.
