Winter Storm Linus turned out to be the real MVP for guests of the Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer, dropping well over three inches of snow in Chicago and actually breaking a February 1 snowfall record to ensure that all store purchases made on January 1, 2, 3 and 17 will be refunded in full. Eligible guests that touched down at Art Van Furniture in Batavia, Bedford Park, Chicago, Orland Park, and Woodridge (Bolingbrook), Illinois and Merrillville, Indiana on those dates won't pay a penny for their new furniture and mattresses, or for sales tax and delivery charges, valued at over $2 million.

The snow total in Chicago on February 1 was a record-breaking 16.2 inches, according to the National Weather Service. Once Art Van Furniture receives official certification from its insurance provider that over three inches of snow fell in each market, winners will receive an email or telephone call with information about their refunds.
Art Van Furniture's "Let It Snow" promotion was also held in Toledo and Fort Wayne, which received ten and nine inches of snow on February 1, respectively.
