Art Van Furniture Celebrates Hollywood's Biggest Night With Ladies Night Out

WARREN, Mich., Feb. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In 1954, Audrey Hepburn accepted her Best Actress award wearing an unforgettable white floral Givenchy gown.  Elizabeth Taylor collected her statue for "Butterfield 8" in 1961 in a dazzling pale yellow top over a white ball gown skirt, cinched at the waist with a black satin sash adorned with a red rose.  And no one will ever forget the ridiculous, but still widely discussed swan dress that singer Bjork wore when she was nominated for Best Song in 2001.

Well, no outfits quite so extravagant or outlandish are expected at this gathering, but on Sunday, February 26, 2012, hundreds of ladies will have the opportunity to get all dolled up for "Movie Awards Ladies Night Out at Art Van Furniture."  Partnering with Fresh 100.3 and St. John Providence Health System, Michigan's largest furniture retailer is asking guests to arrive at its flagship store in Warren at 6 p.m. to prepare to walk the red carpet for movie's biggest night of kudos.

Teams of beauty experts will be on hand at the store to help partygoers with complimentary hair styling, makeup and much more.  The freshly primped guests will then walk the red carpet and have photos taken in a specially appointed photo booth.  Renee Vitale from Fresh 100.3's morning show will comb the audience to find nominees for Best Dressed, Best Shoes, Best Makeup, Best Hair and Best Accessories.  Winners in each category will receive a $50 gift certificate from Lucido Fine Jewelry.

"This is just another event that expresses our commitment to fun, style and unpredictability at Art Van Furniture," explains Diane Charles, the company's Director of Communications.  "Our Ladies Night Out events are always a blast."

What's more is the evening has a purpose.  St. John Providence Health System and Wigs 4 Kids are asking guests to help children, who have lost their hair due to illness, feel glamorous by donating beauty items such as hair accessories, nail polish, costume jewelry and makeup.
