Store's January 17 guests to be reimbursed after Winter Storm Linus drops ten inches of snow on February 1
WARREN, Mich., Feb. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Way to snow! While the New England Patriots won the big game on February 1, hundreds of Art Van Furniture and Art Van PureSleep shoppers in Toledo celebrated their own victory as participants in the retailer's game changing "Let It Snow" promotion! Winter Storm Linus turned out to be the real MVP for guests of the Midwest's No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer, dropping well over the three inches of snow in Toledo that was needed to ensure that all store purchases made on January 17 would be refunded in full. Eligible guests that touched down at Art Van Furniture on 1301 East Mall Drive in Toledo (Holland) and Art Van PureSleep on 4600 Talmadge Road on that date won't pay a penny for their new furniture, mattresses, flooring and big screen TVs, or for sales tax or delivery charges, valued at over $400,000.

Art Van Furniture guest, Rachelle Coulter-Sensel, expressed her excitement on the retailer's Facebook page on Sunday as Winter Storm Linus was in full swing. She wrote, "We are so excited!! We bought a couch, 2 recliners and end tables that day from the Toledo area store. Our salesman, Chris, was great to work with. I talked my husband out of buying a king size bed, but now we will probably go back and get it because our new furniture will be free!!!!"
The snow total in Toledo on February 1 was ten inches, according to the National Weather Service. Once Art Van Furniture receives official certification from its insurance provider that over three inches of snow fell in each market, winners will receive an email or telephone call with information about their refunds.
Art Van Furniture's "Let It Snow" promotion was also held in Chicago and Fort Wayne, which received 16.2 and nine inches of snow on February 1, respectively.
