WARREN, Mich., Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning today, all 100 Art Van Furniture and Art Van PureSleep locations in Chicagoland, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio will be accepting donations of bottled water from the public to help the residents of Flint, Michigan adversely affected by the city's water crisis. "There has been tremendous support for the families affected by the tragic situation in Flint, but the need for clean bottled water remains urgent," said David Van Elslander, senior vice president of Art Van Furniture and president of Art Van PureSleep. "By coming together, our guests in the communities we serve across Chicagoland, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio can join us in making an immediate difference to help the people of Flint."
Donations of cases, gallons and jugs of bottled water will be accepted as long as the need continues to exist, and Art Van Furniture delivery trucks will transport the collected water to Flint several times a week.
