Art Takes Center Stage In Park City, Utah
The Park City Kimball Arts Festival Kicks Off July 31st on Park City's Historic Main Street
PARK CITY, Utah, July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- This year marks the 46th Anniversary of the Park City Kimball Arts Festival, which takes place on Park City's Historic Main Street from Friday, July 31st through Sunday, August 2nd, 2015.
Hundreds of artists, including 60 who have never before been featured at the festival, will exhibit at the nationally acclaimed festival. The artwork spans twelve mediums including: ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, painting, mixed medium, metal, photography, printmaking, wood, sculpture and jewelry.
"Each year we strive to have new, quality artists from across North America in the festival," says Kimball Art Center Executive Director Robin Marrouche. "This year is no exception with more than 220 artists from more than 32 states and British Columbia," she adds.
Live art demonstrations will happen throughout the festival, complimenting the creative activities at the Kids' Area - where young artists can make creations of their own with help from Kimball Art Center volunteers and instructors.
This year's festival also features a culinary focus with a gourmet food truck roundup, an Artisan Tasting area, and Park City restaurants offering festival specials.
By day, attendees will enjoy live music performances on three stages —and the excitement doesn't end at sundown. The Festival After Dark keeps the entertainment going with concerts, standup comedy, and a special Sundance Institute film screening throughout the weekend.
A full list of Festival After Dark happenings are listed online: http://www.parkcitykimballartsfestival.org/festival-events/festival-after-dark.
On Saturday and Sunday at 9am, free yoga classes will be offered on the Sky Lodge and Zoom restaurants' outdoor patios.
This year's Festival is proudly presented by Zions Bank, and made possible thanks to generous support from leading sponsors Porsche of Salt Lake City and Berkshire Hathaway, contributing sponsors Budweiser, Coca-Cola and Skullcandy, as well as Fox13 News, Broadway Media, and Tanger Outlets. The interior of the VIP Lounge will be exquisitely outfitted by Barclay Butera Interiors.
The Kimball Art Center (KAC) is a non-profit center for the arts, committed to engaging individuals of all ages in diverse and inspiring experiences through education, exhibitions and events. More information is available www.parkcitykimballartsfestival.org.
