Art Directors Guild Expands Second-Phase Final Voting in Its Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards to Members in All Four Councils
Honorary Lifetime Achievement Awards to Be Selected from All Four Councils
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Art Directors Guild (ADG), Local 800 Council and producers of the 19th Annual Art Directors Guild's Excellence in Production Design Awards have expanded its final second-phase voting for winners to include all members of the crafts that make up the nearly 2,300-member Guild, it was announced by Council Chairman John Shaffner and Co-Producers Dave Blass and James Pearse Connelly. Final voting will now include Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists; Illustrators, Storyboard Artist and Matte Artists; and Set Design and Model Makers. The voting expansion change is effective with the upcoming ADG Awards, set for January 31, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The ADG Council also announced it has voted to expand the honorary Lifetime Achievement Awards to annually include members selected from all four crafts. It was previously announced that Emmy®-winning and Oscar®-nominated Production Designer Jim Bissell has been voted this year's recipient of the ADG Council's Lifetime Achievement honor. The additional three Lifetime honorees will be announced in the near future.
Nominations for this year's ADG Excellence in Production Design Awards will be announced on January 5, 2015. The ADG will present winners in ten competitive categories for theatrical films, television productions, commercials and music videos on January 31, 2015. A recipient of the Guild's Outstanding Contribution to Cinematic Imagery Award and three new inductees into its Hall of Fame will be announced in the upcoming months.
ADG Awards are open only to productions, when made within the U.S., by producers signatory to the IATSE agreement. Foreign entries are acceptable without restrictions.
