NEW YORK, Dec. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Arsenal Capital Partners ("Arsenal"), a leading middle-market specialized private equity firm, announced today additions to its healthcare business services team. BG Porter has joined as an Industry & Operations Partner, and John DiGiovanni has joined as a Principal. In addition, Robbie Cahill was promoted to Vice President and Taylor Holland was promoted to Senior Associate.
Mr. Porter was most recently CEO of the Studer Group ("Studer"), a strategic consulting firm assisting hospitals across the U.S. and abroad to improve clinical outcomes and financial results. While leading Studer, BG led two successful sales of the company, first to a private equity firm in 2011 and then again to Huron Consulting in 2015. The effectiveness of Studer's focused effort on coaching healthcare executives and installing leadership systems to implement change throughout healthcare providers' organizations was recognized through the company's receipt of the 2010 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
Mr. DiGiovanni joins Arsenal from Baird Capital Partners, where he was most recently a Principal and spent approximately 10 years focused on the healthcare sector.
Stephen McLean, a Senior Partner of Arsenal overseeing the healthcare practice said, "Arsenal has an established track record of building high-growth, technology-enabled business services companies that facilitate the systemic improvement of healthcare. We are very proud to have BG and John join our team. These are experienced executives with unique insights and capabilities. They will help Arsenal and our portfolio companies expand the impact we have on mission-critical activities within the industry."
Mr. Cahill joined Arsenal in 2014 as an Associate from Bank of America Merrill Lynch. This is his second promotion while at Arsenal. Mr. Holland joined Arsenal in 2017 from Jefferies LLC.
Gene Gorbach, an Investment Partner of Arsenal, added, "We are very pleased to recognize the significant contributions of both Robbie and Taylor. Both individuals have demonstrated tremendous development, and we look forward to their continued contributions as they expand their roles on the team."
