Arrow Named to Sandler O'Neill Sm-All-Star List for Financial Performance
GLENS FALLS, N.Y., Oct. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Arrow Financial Corporation (NasdaqGS® – AROW) is pleased to announce it was recently named to the Sandler O'Neill Sm-All Stars Class of 2014, a list of 35 top-performing small-cap banks and thrifts in the country.
Investment banking firm Sandler O'Neill + Partners, LP evaluated all 443 publicly traded banks and thrifts with a market cap below $2.5 billion based on eight metrics, including: growth, profitability, credit quality and capital strength. The field was then narrowed to the top 35. Arrow was one of a dozen newcomers to the list, and the only bank based in Upstate New York.
According to Sandler O'Neill: "The performance metrics of the remaining 35 institutions are exceptional, with the Class of 2014 delivering bottom line results that are markedly better than the industry as a whole."
The list marks Arrow's third national recognition this year. It was also included on the ABA Banking Journal's annual list of 100 "top-performing midsize banks" based on 2013 return on average equity and was named by Forbes as one of "America's 50 Most Trustworthy Financial Companies" for its accounting and governance practices.
