ARR Adds Egg Donor Program To Services Provided UI IVF Center
IOWA CITY, Iowa, June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Alternative Reproductive Resources (ARR) said today that its partnership with the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics has been expanded to include egg donation services.
ARR has been managing the process logistics of the Center's gestational surrogacy program since its inception in 2009. The addition of the firm's egg donor recruitment and management services is expected to further streamline operations and create cost efficiencies for the Center's intended parents.
The Chicago-based ARR, founded in 1992, was the first egg donor recruitment, and, later, surrogacy management agency in Chicago and the Midwest.
"We are very excited about our collaboration with ARR, which will enable us to recruit donors from the Midwest for our infertile couples," said Hakan Duran, M.D., University of Iowa Center for Advanced Reproductive Care.
ARR's egg donor program will cover recruitment of area egg donors, guiding them on the medical, legal and psychological processes, and facilitating matches with intended parents. Its surrogacy services include recruiting and matching them with intended parents, health and psychological evaluations, legal and financial services, and ongoing support of carriers and intended parents throughout the experience.
"We are excited to expand our relationship with the Center and helping more intended parents in Iowa and nearby states create the families they've always wanted," said Robin von Halle, president of ARR.
Established in 1987, the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care was Iowa's first In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) program. It brings together board-certified reproductive endocrinologists, urologists, nurse specialists, embryologists, and andrologists who offer a full range of state-of-the-art treatment options. The center offers counseling services and connections to area support groups and is recognized as a national leader for elective single embryo transfers that contribute to health and safety of mother and child.
