Armando Gutierrez and the Yankees Step-Up to the Plate for Baseball in Orlando
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Hitting a home run for Orange County, local businessman Armando Gutierrez, Jr. is keeping his eye on the ball for Orlando's baseball fans. The New York Yankees and Gutierrez have entered into an agreement to explore the possible relocation of its Florida State League (High A) team to Orlando Florida.
Here is the play you do not want to miss. On September 2nd, 2010 at the County Administration Center, Gutierrez will unveil the latest destination attraction planned for Orlando. The current plans for the project include the construction of a new minor league baseball stadium and a sports-themed museum.
The exploration of, and relocation to Orange County is subject to baseball rules that require permissions from the Florida State League, its clubs, Minor League Baseball, and the review of the Baseball Office of the Commissioner.
