BOCA RATON, Fla., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Campus Management Corp., a leading provider of enterprise cloud software solutions and services for higher education, announced today that Arkansas State University-Newport (ASU-Newport), has optimized resources around student success with proven results based on the institution's use of Campus Management's CampusNexus platform. The two-year community college is using the cloud-based CampusNexus platform built on Microsoft Azure, including CampusNexus Student, CRM, and Finance, HR and Payroll.
With state funding now tied to student outcomes, accurate and timely reporting is more critical to public institutions in Arkansas. Campus Management helps streamline ASU-Newport's state reporting and regulatory compliance processes and since using the CampusNexus platform the school has reached a 12.2 percent increase in state funding, the highest percentage increase of any two-year college in Arkansas. The institution has also achieved a 41 percent increase in credentials awarded and 30 percent growth in their student population over the last five years.
"The move to CampusNexus was born out of the need to serve non-traditional students, so whether it is a credential or certificate program, short-term training opportunities, or standard terms, we can manage all of our programs from one system," said Adam Adair, CFO at ASU-Newport. "Working with Campus Management offered us a system that we could build around our own technology processes and its flexibility has enabled us to align programs with the needs of students and increase the number of degrees we can award."
Additionally, at ASU-Newport, approximately 70 percent of the school's budget is dedicated to employee salaries and benefits. CampusNexus has enabled the institution to be more effective with their staffing efforts as well as properly allocate resources around student services and success.
"We were creating reports manually, which was very cumbersome," said Adair. "With CampusNexus, data accuracy and integrity are built in. And because it's a Microsoft-based solution, we have single sign-on access to powerful tools for accurate reporting, predictive analytics, and collaboration, including Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Office 365."
Built on Microsoft technology, Campus Management clients benefit from Dynamics 365 and the trusted Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The strong Microsoft foundation enables Campus Management to focus solely on higher education innovations, academic delivery and operational efficiencies.
Added Anthony Salcito, Vice President of Worldwide Education, Microsoft Corp., "Innovative institutions like ASU-Newport understand the powerful role technology can play in helping to shape student outcomes. It is a pleasure to see the shared vision and collaboration between Microsoft and Campus Management building and delivering transformative technologies that positively affect higher education goals."
