Arizona McDonald's® to Offer 3rd - 8th Grade Students Free Breakfast First Two Days of AIMS Test - April 7 & 8

PHOENIX, April 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Arizona McDonald's restaurants are inviting 3^rd – 8^th grade students taking Arizona's Instrument To Measure Standards (AIMS) to a free breakfast on April 7 and 8, the first two days of the test.

The breakfast offer will run from 6 to 9 a.m., and includes an Egg McMuffin®, Apple Slices, and a choice of 1% milk, fat free chocolate milk or a small Minute Maid® orange juice. Customer requirements for the free breakfast offer include: students must be accompanied by a parent, no group redemption, while supplies last, and child must be present for offer and no substitutions.

Last year, Arizona McDonald's restaurants served more than 84,000 students a free breakfast on the first two exam days.

"Whether students eat at home, at their schools or at McDonald's, it's important to have a well-balanced breakfast every day, especially before taking an exam like the AIMS," said Michelle Slayton, who owns and operates several McDonald's restaurants in Phoenix. "As many members of the McDonald's family are parents themselves, we feel it is important for us to contribute to the well-being of children in our communities. A wholesome breakfast that includes food groups like fruit, whole grains and low-fat milk will help provide the fuel and nutrients students need to start the day."
