Arison Investments Chairman and CEO Efrat Peled is Panelist at the Milken Institute 2015 Global Conference, Linking between human capital, values and corporate performance
"Today, managing with values is the right and most efficient way to be a successful company and reach results. It enables people to bring their personality by initiating, acting, and creating out of true meaning."
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Arison Investments Chairman and CEO Efrat Peled was a panelist today at an exclusive first-time panel at the Milken Institute 2015 Global Conference. The panel, "Return on People", focused on how human capital and positive organizational dynamics are key to a firm's survival and prosperity. The Milken Conference brings together some of the world's most innovative thinkers to explore ways that capital markets can solve the world's most pressing challenges.
Peled was asked to share practical solutions and bring in the hands-on experience she has gained leading Arison Investments, the business arm of the Arison Group, owned by businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison, that create values-based investments in more than 40 countries across five continents in finances, infrastructure, real estate, renewable energy, water and salt.
Peled was joined by other experts in the field of values leadership, including Edward Lawler III, Distinguished Professor of Business and Director at University of Southern California; Susan Ochs, Founder of Better Banking Project and Senior Fellow at New America Foundation; Pamela Thomas-Graham, Chief Marketing and Talent Officer, Head of Private Banking and Wealth Management New Markets at Credit Suisse; and Prof. Gregory Unruh, Arison Professor of Values Leadership at George Mason University.
Peled said, "Compensation is traditionally only hardwired into the company's profits. I believe an important part of compensation is recognition for the moral values an employee brings-in, not just their financial value. This optimizes the workforce and builds a lasting values-based DNA as a key measure for sustainable firm performance."
