Ariosa Diagnostics Appoints Dan Puckett as Chief Financial Officer and Dr. Thomas Musci as Chief Medical Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ariosa Diagnostics, Inc., maker of the Harmony™ Prenatal Test, announced today that it has promoted Dan Puckett to Chief Financial Officer and Dr. Thomas Musci to Chief Medical Officer.

Dan Puckett joined Ariosa in September 2011 as Vice President of Finance and Administration.  He has been instrumental in developing the company's finance, accounting, purchasing, human resources, and facilities infrastructure.  His leadership has been vital to the company as it has rapidly transformed from a pre-commercial organization into the world's leading non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) provider.

Dr. Musci joined Ariosa in May 2012 as Vice President of Clinical and Medical Affairs and has successfully led the clinical development activities resulting in a significant number of peer-reviewed, published articles over the last 18 months. Additionally, he has cultivated a growing medical affairs department within Ariosa that provides genetic counseling and medical liaison expertise to Ariosa's clients throughout the world. His leadership on building key collaborations with top researchers in the field of prenatal medicine, as well as his engagement to build the global market footprint of the Harmony Test, have made him an invaluable addition to the Ariosa team.
