LONDON, May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) has awarded its journalism prize for 2009 to Argus editor-in-chief Ian Bourne. The award is given "to an individual for excellence in written journalism on topics related to international energy economics", the IAEE says. The award is typically presented at the IAEE international conference, which this year will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 6-9 June.
Argus chairman and chief executive Adrian Binks said: "Argus prides itself on its insightful and objective reporting of energy markets and we are delighted that the IAEE has recognised Ian in this manner. Ian has been at Argus since 1995 and his contribution to the quality of Argus reports is highly valued". Argus' founder Jan Nasmyth previously won the IAEE award in 1988. The prize has been awarded almost every year since 1983.
