Argosy University, Phoenix programs in school psychology recognized by National Association of School Psychologists
PHOENIX, June 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Argosy University, Phoenix is pleased to announce that the Doctor of Psychology in School Psychology program at the campus has been approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
With this decision, the PsyD and EdS in School Psychology certification programs at the campus are both now recognized and approved by NASP through fall 2021. This is the maximum amount of time for which a program can be recognized.
NASP is a professional association that represents more than 25,000 school psychologists, graduate students, and related professionals throughout the United States and 25 other countries. NASP is the world's largest organization for school psychologists. NASP works to advance effective practices to improve students' learning, behavior, and mental health.
The NASP Program Accreditation Board provides a review and approval service to graduate programs in school psychology. NASP program approval is part of the association's commitment to serving the mental health and educational interests of all children and youth by promoting the preparation of competent professionals in accordance with the Standards for Graduate Preparation of School Psychologists.
