ARES Security presents at World Institute for Nuclear Security workshop

Modeling and Simulation Event Slated to Bring Together Security Professionals from Around the World

BURLINGAME, Calif., May 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ARES Security Corporation, an enterprise security risk management solutions company, has been invited to kick off the World Institute for Nuclear Security's (WINS) Modeling and Simulation for Design and Assessment of Nuclear Security Systems workshop that will be held on May 14-16 in Vienna, Austria. ARES Security will deliver a presentation titled, "The Context of Modeling and Simulation within the Nuclear Security Program" that has been prepared in conjunction with one of their customers, Bruce Power; the world's largest operating nuclear generating facility.

Based on the interest in WINS' International Best Practice Guide, "Modeling and Simulation for Nuclear Security Planning and Assessment", the organization determined that a workshop on modeling and simulation would be highly beneficial for security practitioners to share best practices. WINS has asked ARES Security Corporation to present and demonstrate their solutions, AVERT and BluTrain, which utilize 3D modeling and simulation technology to optimize the cost and effectiveness of physical security and guard forces.

The invite only conference will bring together nuclear security professionals from around the world to discuss how modeling and simulation is playing an increasingly important role in the nuclear industry, in particular to evaluate the security of an initial design, identify existing facility vulnerabilities, analyze the cost and benefit of potential enhancements, and provide predictive analysis and planning of various threat scenarios.

ARES Security will continue the discussion of nuclear security with a complimentary webinar co-hosted with the United Kingdom's National Nuclear Laboratory that will provide a case study on using the AVERT solution to perform risk management assessments and planning.
