AREA15 Completes Wall Construction for Immersive Retail, Event and Entertainment Complex Set to Open Late 2019
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- AREA15, the new immersive art, entertainment, event and retail complex set to open in Las Vegas in late 2019, announced today the exterior walls of the project's 126,000-square-foot building have been erected. This is a major milestone in the overall construction of AREA15 and serves as a visual beacon for what's ahead for the immersive bazaar.
Upon opening, AREA15 will weave together immersive experiences, music and corporate events, art installations, restaurants, bars, and nightlife into a wholly reimagined new retail landscape. The complex will appeal to both tourists and locals craving the extraordinary and seeking the unexpected. AREA15 is a development project led by a joint venture between real estate development firm Fisher Brothers and creative agency Beneville Studios, both of New York. Capital West of Las Vegas is the general contractor.
In total, 60 concrete wall panels were put up, each being 45 feet high and weighing 60 tons. This phase of the construction was accomplished over the course of only three days, keeping to the construction timeline for a late 2019 opening.
A short ride from the Las Vegas Strip, AREA15 is located just off I-15 and Desert Inn Road and will offer over 900 free parking spaces. AREA15 and anchor tenant, Meow Wolf, an art collaborative, are projecting over 1.7 million visitors per year. Meow Wolf was recently listed as one of "The 50 Best Things To Do in the World Right Now" by TimeOut. A showroom is open at 3230 W. Desert Inn Road for leasing and sales inquiries and is also available for private events.
