AREA Property Partners Appoints Keith Kooper as General Counsel
NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Keith Kooper has joined AREA Property Partners as general counsel, the firm announced.
Previously, Kooper served as President of Capmark Investments LP, which he joined in 2007 as general counsel. He has also practiced at Sidley Austin LLP and Drinker, Biddle & Reath LLP, where he advised clients on all aspects of corporate and securities transactions.
"Keith brings to AREA an extensive legal and financial background that also encompasses broad experience with real estate. We are pleased to welcome him to the firm," said Lee Neibart, AREA global chief executive officer.
Kooper succeeds former AREA general counsel Cindy Wenig, who has left the firm to spend more time with her family but will continue to assist AREA as a legal advisor.
Kooper earned his BA from the University of Michigan and his JD from Emory University School of Law. He is a member of the bars of the State of New York and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
