ASRC Has Been a Leader in Pushing for SBA 8(a) Reforms
BARROW, Alaska, Sept. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nearly 10 months after NASA awarded a technical support and engineering studies contract to ASRC Research and Technology Solutions (ARTS), Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) is calling for a review into how the contract was awarded. ARTS, headquartered in Greenbelt, Maryland, is a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, which is a subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation.
"We're proud of the work that our family of companies is doing, and the work that we've done in the past," said Tara Sweeney, Sr. Vice President of External Affairs for ASRC. "We look forward to working with the appropriate people on this matter."
ASRC has been a leader in pushing for meaningful reforms to the Small Business Administration's 8(a) business development program, and was encouraged when the SBA published its final set of reforms in February of this year.
