Architecture for Humanity Appoints Narry Singh to Board of Directors
Accomplished Entrepreneur Tapped to Drive Growth and Scale Operations
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Architecture for Humanity, a non-profit design firm that offers architectural services to communities in need worldwide, has announced the appointment of Narry Singh to its board of directors. A seasoned entrepreneur who has led companies from the start-up stage to hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and set up businesses in 38 countries, Singh will bring considerable experience in scaling operations for global growth to an organization that recently celebrated its first decade of success.
Singh is currently Chairman and Managing Partner at The Intellidex Group, a business advisory and venture development organization whose clients include global corporations as well as numerous start-ups. Singh's two decades of experience in Silicon Valley, Europe and India will help Architecture for Humanity leverage technology to manage its expanding operations globally.
"We dedicated our first decade promoting a sustainable future, channeling global financial and professional resources to meaningful projects that make a difference locally," said Architecture for Humanity Managing Director Kate Stohr. "Our goal now is to take our efforts to the next level in terms of impact, size and scope, and we are extremely pleased to have Narry help us meet this new challenge."
"It's an honor to have this opportunity to work for such a compelling cause," said Singh. "Architecture for Humanity not only concerns itself with the physical footprint of the structures it designs, but also what they call the cultural footprint – the impact on a community. This is an organization that deserves to grow, and I'm proud that I've been asked to take part in that journey."
