Archie Morris, DPA is recognized by Continental Who's Who
WASHINGTON, Aug. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Archie Morris, DPA, is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Higher Education. Dr. Morris is a Professor at Bowie State University.
Since its inception in 1865, Bowie State University remains the oldest historically black college in Maryland and one of the ten oldest in the nation. Offering an array of degree and certificate programs, Bowie State University is home to renowned research facilities and the latest in performing arts and music technologies.
A professor at Bowie State University for seven years, Dr. Morris has spent over three decades working in federal, state and local governments and academia as well as in the private sector. Throughout the course of his prominent career, Dr. Morris has held managerial positions within the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Dr. Morris is a published author, lecturer and noted presenter. His advice to individuals taking an entry-level position is to get a rich education and he states the key to his success is "luck, very hard work and perseverance".
In his free time, Dr. Morris enjoys community outreach and mentoring young adults. To date, his past graduate students have accepted positions in governmental agencies including homeland security and the state department.
Reflecting on his collegiate career, Dr. Morris attained his Doctor of Public Administration and Master of Public Administration degrees from Nova Southeastern University. In addition, he graduated from Howard University with both his Master of Arts in Urban Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Economics.
